The Payne Firm offers environmental consulting services to the legal community, financial community and industries ranging from manufacturing and healthcare to higher education. The Firm was founded in 1987 as the Payne Riemer Group, and renamed The Payne Firm in 1992.

Although headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, The Payne Firm has clients and projects across the country and internationally. We work with clients of all sizes, from emerging businesses to Fortune 500 companies. The projects we work on range from small to large and everything in between.

The Payne Firm’s staff of 35 professionals represents the full spectrum of technical disciplines, including environmental, civil and chemical engineering; geology and hydrogeology; chemistry; risk assessment; wetlands; asbestos and lead investigation and abatement; and industrial hygiene and safety.

At The Payne Firm, our scientists and engineers take the time to understand our clients’ business, the underlying factors affecting environmental issues, and how the wide range of solutions will affect the company. Then, in concert with our clients, we bring our entrepreneurial spirit and technical expertise to bear on the problem to develop answers that make sense, and to negotiate the most favorable position for our client.

But developing those answers is only half of the equation. The other half entails presenting the options in clear, non-technical terms. That means using state-of-the-art graphics, such as three-dimensional modeling and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to fully represent the problem. And it means using business techniques – including decision tree analysis and detailed time and cash flow analysis – to help our clients determine the solution that works best for their unique circumstances.
